No matter how friendly and welcoming a church is, visiting any church for the first time can be a little intimidating. You may be wondering things like What is the worship service like? Where do I sit? What is expected of me? Are my children welcome?
As you enter our church you will be welcomed by greeters. Ushers will hand you a worship bulletin and will help you find a seat if necessary. There is plenty of seating in the sanctuary. Sit wherever you like, there are no reserved seats except some front rows occasionally marked for music groups..
Guests are never singled out or embarrassed. We won't ask you to stand or wear a name tag or anything like that. We do pass a record of attendance book through each pew and if you choose, you may sign in to let us know you came. You are welcome to join others in the Welcome Center for coffee and conversation after the service. This is a wonderful way to meet new people.
Our worship services are easy to follow by using the bulletin and they last about an hour. Our services include the singing of hymns, some traditional and others contemporary with music provided for all, special music from a choir, vocal or instrumental group, scripture readings and prayers. After a brief children's message, grade-school children may leave to attend Worship and Wonder located in the education building. One of the pastors shares a sermon, which is followed by communion. In our church, communion is open and served to all who believe Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God.
An offering is received each Sunday. We don't expect our guests to put anything in the offering plate, though you are certainly welcome to do so. Our members and regular attendees freely give to support our ministries.
Childcare is available during both the Traditional and Contemporary Worship services with a staffed nursery room for infants and toddlers. All nursery and Sunday School staff have passed our child protection policy background check. Ask a greeter if you need help locating the nursery.
